Swallowtail Cousin is a 2023-formed acoustic duo featuring veteran rocker Tony Purnell and singer-songwriter Liz Alden. Their chemistry and harmonies are compelling on classic 70s-80s hits that feel like home and brand new Americana storytelling for the 21st century.

Singer/songwriter Liz Alden began her musical journey as a sixth-grade viola player secretly in love with Prince, and she composes for her 1980s inner child. Based in Tampa Bay, Liz is a regular performer in Sweetwater Community Farm's regional music lineup and has headlined the Safety Harbor Holiday Nights fest and the Seminole Heights Lawn Concert series by FWD Thinkers Music. She released her debut EP "Like the Moon Draws the Water" in 2021, and in collaboration with Martin Gilmartin a progressive rock/pop album "New Geometry" in 2023, both available on all streaming platforms and for download at www.LizAldenSongs.com. Liz is a frequent flyer with the Los Angeles School of Songwriting songmakers workshop and a veteran of rock/top 40s cover bands Hurricane Eyes and Daybreak, jazz standards quartet Even Hand, folk/rock indie/original bands Lazy Susan and Harlequin Jones, and several choirs and orchestras.
